$64.95

Accessory and dessert lovers, your must-have collection is here! Designed as part of our collaboration with celebrated Australian cake Queen Katherine Sabbath, and inspired by a real Katherine Sabbath creation, this limited-run Vintage Dreams Showstopper Cake brooch has been hand-assembled from the most delicious green, pink, orange, and purple resins, complete with bows with etched icing detailing. We're sure you'll agree it's a brooch that's (almost) good enough to eat, particularly for those who love a vintage aesthetic. A perfect treat for yourself or gift for anyone in your world due for a celebration, if you love this design you'll also find it available as drop earrings, while stocks last.

60.5mm x 53.8mm (H x W)

DESIGN STORY

“Vintage buttercream-style cakes are back in vogue and I personally love anything with a retro aesthetic! My interpretation comes with modern pastel colours and a satisfying amount of kitsch factor. The more contrasting the colours, the better!”

Each piece is made from laser-cut and layered resin, hand assembled, hand painted and released in limited quantities. As all of our designs are lovingly glued, assembled and painted by hand there can be fingerprint marks and very slight variations and blemishes from piece to piece. Due to the hand-mixed nature of the resins in our designs, it is also common and normal to find tiny flecks or bubbles in the resin layers. All in all, this just makes each piece as special and unique as you are.

Brooch clasps, necklace chains, and jump rings are made from silver-plated steel. Earrings hooks and posts are made from high quality, hypoallergenic stainless steel.

CARE

Please be aware that resin is akin to ceramic and glass and therefore may be damaged if dropped or knocked. Due to the use of high quality silver-plating in our brooch clasps, tarnishing and oxidisation can occur, producing black and gold discolouration. As with all silver products, you can simply restore it using a silver cloth. Keep your Erstwilder companion neatly tucked away in this box when not being worn, avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, water, and excessive sunlight and you’ll have a trusted friend for years to come.
